Very disappointing experience with Ms. Renee Harper. I was waiting on my house documents so I could list my home for sale next week. Ms. Harper emails me around 9am letting me know that the documents would be ready and sent for my signature before noon. That did not happen... 5:20pm roles around and still no documents and more importantly no communication as to why, so I inquire yet again. Ms. Harper offers apology and a multitude of excuses in response. A short while after, the documents are sent to me along with an explanation of additional information needed. I had some inquiries of what would be required and asked why it was my responsibility as the home owner. Apparently, I misunderstood the intent of Ms. Harper's communication and designation of what was my responsibility. In response, I am going to share the actual verbiage of her email to me:

"Mr. Jones,

Did you even read through the documentation I sent? I am not suggesting you get the HOA document provided by the HOA. I am suggesting you fill out the SELLERS PROPERTY DISCLOSURES. And in fact, I'm suggesting you find another realtor. I am not going to deal with your attitude.

Ms. Harper"

Shocking to say the least... We had set up a photo shoot that was two business days away and were set to list the house in four business days. All of a sudden, some standard questions became a resignation of services provided by Ms. Harper...? Needless to say, I am now left with absolutely nothing and have to start over. This is a truly sad story, but it just goes to show that it does happen. Be careful who you choose as your realtor and make sure to do your homework! I wish I would have done mine...

Renee is amazing! We put our house on the market over 3 months after our neighbors had put theirs on the market. The neighbors had already reduced the price on their house. We had looked through their house and it was lovely - had many features better than ours. Our house was nice but had an unusual floor plan and we knew it would take just the right family to buy.

Once I contacted Renee - things moved quickly. She didn't want to put our house on the market until we had some work done on it, like getting the deck stained, the carpets cleaned, and some touch up painting. She also hired a person to come and 'stage' the house. Renee paid for the first hour of this service and I paid an additional one. She is a bit of a stickler on having the house ready to show - but she knows her business and 100 percent right.

Once the house was ready, she had an open house for other realtors - and this is where her experience and years of working in the industry pay off. She has many connections and is able to get other realtors in the house with their clients. In addition, she has a photographer come out and then creates a fantastic web page - I know that after looking at it I wanted to buy my house! :-)

Our house had offers within 5 days and we sold at a full price offer (which we even thought was a bit high considering the market) at 7 days. If there were any bumps in the road - we didn't feel them as Renee works out issues with the other realtor and manages to keep this process as stress free as possible.

I would like to note that we have used Renee in the past with the same amazing results - and I'm not exaggerating. When my husband and I met 9 years ago then decided to marry and buy a new house together, Renee sold both our houses for us. Mine sold in 3 days and my husbands in 2 weeks - both full price offers.
